Default vin code options

is there a way to take an old vin code and find out what the option codes where for an older car that no longer has the option sticker attached?

If you know someone that works at a dealer, you can have them run the VIN through the GM VIS (Vehicle Identification System).
That will show order date, build date, service date, warranty dates, warranty repairs, and all original equipment ordered with the car with RPO codes.

As long as the car is a 96 and newer I can check it for you. Just give me the VIN # and I can look it up.

The Vintage Camaro, Vette, Chevelle and other GM owners have looked for this info for years. There was a massive effort a while back by retired GM insiders and it turned up empty. I wanted this documentation for my original 69 Z28 myself. Now I'am
