Lightbulb Halo's (HIDs) on a TRANS AM...?!

So,

I know they don't make a kit and I know ir would be some work....but has anyone done this yet??

Couldn't you buy a set of Camaro Halo bulbs and convert the T/A lights??

I think I know how to do this, but am wondering why no one else has....am I missing some really hard step???

Anyone have any insight?

you are willing to spend 170+ bucks to get a halo and go through the trouble of putting it in your current headlights. Definitely not worth it plus the halos are meant to run when your headlights arent on or else you can barely see them and im not sure but dont t/a headlights turn on when they are up.?

most of the time yes, but after you have had your head lights on and turn on just your parking lights your head lights will stay up but won't be on.

He said "Halos (HIDs)" though. Maybe he just wants the HID aspect? That would be nice to have. I think there is a way to do that too. At least, I think I've heard about one somewhere. Sorry I don't have anything more specific.

You can't do halos, but you can convert all the bulbs to silverstars, if you'd like with a little work....

Others might not like it 99SeanWS6 but i think thats pretty tight. It would look a lot better if you got matching headlights though (color wise). Where did u get those or did you do them yourself. If it is a home made setup mind giving us a lil write up?

I say skip the Angel eyes.

Go to www.hidplanet.com and get some real projectors.

I'm thnking of getting single beam HID's from them, they same type BMW uses, and installing them....while retaining the stock high beams.

The best place for answers is HIDPlanet. Join up and get your info there, if HID is the route you want to head down then that is the best place for that info.

There are a few people there that have done the conversion so they can give you tips on wiring, housing modifications.

The first thing you should ask yourself before you begin such a conversion is do you want Bi-Xenon, or singles beam HID/Hi beams Halogens? I think in terms of degree of difficulty both would be the same, in terms of looks Bi-Xenon for sure.

Oh and what ever you do, don't buy any install kits off Ebay, most of the time those things are name brand bulbs, but cheap electronics.
