Default New mod....

I love the small details...see if you can spot the new mod (shouldnt be tough from the first pic...)

The second pic show the first steps of the CME install. Had to remove some of the rubber from the wheel wells while I was under there. More pics of this install to come

Ok...I'm guessing it's either that you removed the red bowtie or it's the SLP logo?...either way, looks clean! BTW...that is a nice...er, um..."classic" jack!

Looks like the bowtie. I like it. Smooths everything out w/ the SLP logo on the otherside, and makes the rear look balanced.

LOL! You know what, on my local message board, the first reply I got was about my old jack. Oh well, they dont build them like they used to. This thing could lift my car if I needed it to. It's old, but hey, it works great.

Yes I did take off the chevrolet emblem, added the SLP Eng decal, and I did add a power antenna, but those are not the newest mod. You have to look much closer to see it!

I'll give you a hint.....tail lights and side reflector.

ooooh....we're getting warmer

ok, I like having nice bright taillights, and I dont mean the bulbs, I mean the plastic...I like them to shine and look smooth. I hated the way they molded the part numbers and stuff into them so yesterday I grabbed some 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper and went to work.

I wet sanded all the lettering off of the tail lights and the side markers first with 1000 and then following that up with 2000. I used Novus #2 plastic polish to shine them up and there ya go....most subtle mod ever, lol!

Headlights and front signals are next.

One more...

I was going to say, those taillights look awful shiny.

Looks great, I'd like to do that to mine! I love that glossy look.

As for the NBM, I firmly believe it is one of the, if not the best color, for an SS. (Pewter's right in there too!)

hmm. I like that smooth tail lights. Now the headlights are you planing on taking the points or nubs or whatever you want to call them off them too? I'd be very interested to see how the headlights turn out.

I dunno if you were ever thinking about doing this but I think chrome camaro letters for the rear panel would look nice on your car. Is you antenna chrome and do you have chrome wheels?? just a thought.........

hrsepwraddict00...i do have chrome wheels, but the antenna is GM, black. the most I would do is the silver 35th Anniversary fill-ins but I havent decided on those yet.

abadss...grille should be here today. After the holes are filled, the plan is to paint it NBM with the leftover paint I have from the CME. Hopefully a blue SS grille will look nice

sixvi6-camaro...no i dont think i'll take the numbs off. if i went that far i think it would leave a small hole in the headlight. i have some small rock chips that i want to remove...make them look like new again.

Thanks guys

Mind if I ask where you got the CME from and how much?
