Default "carbon fiber" material

i am in the process of installing my molded CF interior and am thinking about reapolstering my upper door panels in a material that looks like carbon fiber but it can be handeled like cloth or vynel(?).
there is two types of this syuff. the original thats been out for a couple of years; i really dont care for it. the newer stuff looks alot like the shift handle on the 03-04 cobras and i beleive Audi uses some similar stuff on there cars.
does anybody know what this stuff is called and where can i get it.

you will need to look up in the phone book under upholstery and find a supply shop. They should have some sample books for you to look through and find what you are looking for. I know what you are talking about but I can't tell you where to get it in detroit..

My father does upholstery so we are always at supply shops looking for vinyls and other things. I think what you want is a vinyl too it just has the pattern pressed into it
