Default Tail Light Issue

I cant figure out why my left rear lamp assembly is brighter than the right..I checked the ground and its tight. i took off both sides and left the lights out and both side were same brightness and all the bulbs were correct numbers..now there was water in the left lamp assembly so i drained it and sealed the assembly but still no luck. I wonder if the water and heat darkened the tail light?

Are ther after market rear assemblies for the firebird?

The connector actually probably has corrosion on it. Do you have a Ohmmeter by any chance? Check the resistance of each side and then it should let you know. You can just try looking at it and see if anything built up on the plug in. If there is a little get something to clean it off and then put some Silicondilelectric grease in the plug then put the bulb back in. All it is is to keep the moisture from getting to the bulb connections. You should beable to find it at any hardware/automotive store.
