Default Removing clearcoat from rims

Has anyone had luck removing the clearcoat from their rims. I have the stock 02 WS6 rims and would like to buff them out. The car is not a daily driver, so keeping them clean is not an issue. Any help!! Thanks

I used a drill and a 3M attachment. Not one of the wire ones, but one of the softer type wheels. It is used for stripping paint.

Agreed it works like a miracle! Auto parts stores sell it, just get the kind for aluminum.
