Think I can get a new hood out of this?

I really don't think their going to give you a new hood. Looks like the damage isn't that big and a shop night be able to fix that. good luck.
Damaging it further might increase your chances of new hood though.

With any luck you'll be asked to get bids. Go to the most expensive places you can find for your bids then find a hood you could replace it with hopefully being less than the bids and show the adjuster your findings your sure to get a new hood if it's worthwhile to them.

if its not your fault, and they have good insurance. if you bitch about it, and keep bitching about it they will give you a new hood and blend the fenders. tell them before the car was hit that it didn't have a repaired hood on the car. if the outside adjuster doesn't give it to you, just let him do his job. then you tell the shop what you want and they will call the insurance company for you "if there worth a a ****". if they want to put an aftermarket "junk" hood on your car tell them the same thing.

almost 100% they will give you a hood. A reputable shop wouldnt even act like they were going to repair that. You should get (judging from the pic) a new hood, repaired and repainted bumper, blend the fenders and the light covers.

iunno i dont really think you'll get a new hood out of it....unless you insurance fruad it.....but then you taking a chance with it. maybe the claim adjuster might have a shitty day and not give you anything or might be in a good mood and will give you enough to cover it.

If the insurance allows it, take it to your favorite body shop. I have done that in the past, and the body shop will call and get it adjusted so that you get what you want. For example: I got backed into a little over five years ago, and the lip on one of my wheels was bent and the tire sidewall was sliced. The insurance wanted to fix the wheel, but I told my body shop that I wanted a new wheel. They got on the phone and took care of it.

I am taking the car to the body shop for an estimate on Monday, I went through my insurance to get money from the other guy's insurance... I think the ins adjuster has a lil sympathy for me because he called yesterday, wanting to speak to me but I had just gotten my wisdom teeth pulled,
