Question How well does paint adhere to stainless steel?

I got some rear inserts from dragonZ28 which are very nice. I want to paint them gloss black, but wanted to make sure the paint won't chip or start peeling later down the line.

Thanks,
Ulysses

You probably want an etching primer. Stainless builds
an oxide coat which can be kind of slippery. If you were
to get them grit blasted immediately before, this would
help bust off the oxide. You need some "tooth".
