Default Engine bay is coming along nicely.

Nothing flashy or showy but alot has changed in just a year.

You can actually see a motor now!!!

I still have to clean up that left corner and start rerouting some wires.

This time last year:

No A/C or Power steering eh? Maybe when I build my turbo setup I'll think about getting rid of the A/C. I like the power steering for a DD though.

You still driving the car around town? Thing sounds mint.

Damn!!! I totally missed the power steering delete. That is definintely cool and frees up even more room. I remove more AC system a few months ago and don't regret it at all. Mines not a daily driver so it's not a problem. Any write ups on removing the power steering??

I'd drive it everyday if I wasn't working on it all the time. Right now the interior is out so I can pull the dash and trim the wiring harness. I don't mind the power steering being gone but I kinda miss the radio. It makes for a long ride home from the track at 11pm. Probrably just get an MP3 player.

parbreak: removing the power steering is easy. All you need is a ratcheting wrench to remove the resvoir. If you don't comlpetly drain the rack you'll have to loop the inlet and outlet lines so the fluid can circulate. You can just hose clamp them if you want but I went the nice way and picked up some -6an line, hose ends and some -6an metric adapters for the rack, I believe they where 16x6 and 14x6.

That's pretty much it. The light weight battery also cleans up that corner alittle. Probrably switch to an electric water pump and get rid of the tensioner up top.

I've been thinking about it but have been holding off. I want to get a new nitrous set up in the car and then see what I have left for room after running lines.

so you don't have a manual rack, you just "looped the lines?" More info on this please. Also what kind of setup/line lock is that? Where did you get it? Thanks

Nope no manual rack. It's really simple, just pull the resvoir out, connect the two resvoir lines at the rack, and your done.

The line lock set up is a combo of SLP, SJM, and my own. I would suggest a full kit from SJM.

Here's a pic of it.

That looks great! Very clean and tasteful.

I just deleted the EGR and AIR on my car, and wow what a difference that made.
