NO tint is legal in Cali...... haha kinda sucks its the ONLY state where any type of tint is ILLEGAL.

But im @ 20%..... going 2 weeks strong.

i had my first TA tinted all around and in the back the guys never could get all the air out from around the small black dots at the top of the hatch... has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to do it correctly?

I asked them about those dots at the place where I had the windows tinted. They told me the only thing they could do was tint up close to that area and then paint the dotted area gloss black on the inside. I left my dots visible.

My side windows are like 5% (whatever the legal amount is in CA) not for the darkness but it has some kind of sun block/reflector in it or whatever so I did it for that reason. The rear is called limousine black. It has definitely cooled down the interior.

I just had mine done on Saturday, and researched before I did it. Best thing I could find was to have them place a strip of black vinyl across the dot matrix at the top. They would have done this anyway, since the tint is not plyable enough to get in between the dots. Looks good and blends in well, BTW, I went 5% in back and on the t-tops, pics to come. Still contemplating getting the sides done though...defintely not 5% because of the supposed "crackdown" in this city. Eh, we'll see.

I have 5% on the sides and the back glass with 35% on the windshield. I love it there is no glare at all anytime!!


the side pic kinda shows it, but the inside one has the sun almost directly infront of the car.
