Default whatto clear calipers with?

i just bought the duplicolor brake painting kit and it says it doesnt need clear however the car only has 10k on it so its going to become my daily driver and i want it to look good at 100k. i also have the chrome camaro letters and dont want them to become dingy or dull. what would u guys do? i read someone put nail polish over the letters to help keep them looking good? i also want to clear so i can hose them off and not haveto remove my wheels all the time to clean them.

don't clear over the paint that comes in that kit. The paint will come off if you paint over it. I just used one of those. Make sure you read the instructions, cause you only get about an hour or actually less with the heat right now. If you try to ad mutiple coats, do it quick, cause it will start to just bubble off if you let it set to long. I really didn't care for that kit at all, but best of luck to ya.

O and BTW, you won't need clear, that paint shines pretty good without it.

I've used this paint kit before, on my silver SS and my black one, and it works great. You can do whatever with this one.
