One of those places where they drive it through then blow dry it off and hand dry it.

Only reason I ask is because I'm at college and can't really think of any other options

Only mod I can think of that would get in the way is my slp cold air induction, although it isn't that low

Is the car too low to take on one of those?

i perfer to hand wash it, but when im in a hurry i will occasionally use those, i perfer the touch free ones, but you gotta be carefull with those if you have ttops like myself, it could blow out the seal...ive been lucky so far

i dont like the scrub washes they tend to give the car swirls

I agree, I prefer to hand wash mine but it's not really an option and I have a lot of little water spots on my car from parking too close to the sprinklers last night

Might take it through one just for now

for some reason when i had my Z whenever i used to take it through the wash like that it would always bust one of my clear corners. I dont know how many times i bought new bulbs and how many knuckles ive skinned trying to change that damn bulb!

if you perfer to use those kind awashes you can try putting a seal around the lense of some form

I have heard that over time they will wear on seals and weatherstripping. On my '99, that is only way I ever washed it for 3 years, and yes, it started leaking around the windows and the t-tops. However, it only leaked when washing, not when raining. With my new one, it is strictly handwash!!!

I'd recommend not using that type. The thing that worries me the most is those guys (and girls) with their drying rags and how much grit they inadvertently rub your car with.

I run my Bonneville through the touchless wash at a local gas station quite often inbetween hand washes. Never had an issue, been doing it for many years.

The Camaro gets hand cleanings only.

as long as they are 'no touch' they are fine....I hand wash 99.9 % of the time..

I run mine through whatever pig vomit car wash I can find.

Whatever, I'm over it, it's not in a museum.

I run my pickup through one, but the paint on it is already so jacked it doesn't really make any difference to me if it puts a few more swirl marks in it .... you'd never notice right now

I wouldn't run the T/A through it though ....

just get the college chicks to wash it for you, i think you'll survive, but just keep en eye out for them, cuss you know....uhm water and swerl marks and **** like that.....
oh btw i was mine by hand 100 percent of the time, not only cuss it just feels better, but becuase i cant afford the dollar to get it washed like that, that and i dont like the way that it alwasy leaves everything on there, blow dry my ***!

The touch free ones might be ok, but like someone else already said...it's the hand drying you have to worry about with all the grit. On top of that, don't let them do anything with your wheels in the automated wash part. I made the mistake when I first bought my car, and have paid for it since with little knicks in the lip around the edge of my wheels. After seeing how many swirls they left in my car after having it a couple of weeks though, it doesn't get anything besides handwashing now.

thats how i used to be too...then i got some scratches , bad scratches and they wouldnt cover the damage b/c i couldnt directly prove they did it. so never again, if i dont have time to wash, i just dont

I just took mine to a carwash on a weekend and put a nice coat of wax on it, then every friday take your buket and hand wash it at a local pay n spray. Wet the car down with the soap, wash it by hand with carwash soap and sponge, then rinse and spot free then hand dry. Costs about 1.50 in change for the spray and takes about 30 minutes or so since it has a nice coat of wax. When I waxed it it took me and my girlfriend about 1 1/2 hours.
