Default Bad Bumper Cover

Over the winter I had an unfortunate encounter with a tree. Didn't hit it head on, more or less spun around and clipped it with the front of my car. Half my front bumper cover tore off. So I get it fixed in the spring and the new bumper cover fits fine, with the exception of the gap between the hood. The drivers side corner of the bumper cover is kicked up a bit, while the other side is flush with the hood. It also appears that the gap gets smaller towards the drivers side. The guys at the body shop said that it is very hard to get a good fit with parts for cars that aren't made anymore. They said there is no telling how long the new cover sat in storage, and it is really just hit or miss as to how it looks. It isn't horrible.....but its not 100% perfect. Is this a common problem....or just body shop b.s.??

aftermarket body parts are known to have problems

if you want it perfect, get gm

gm's are perfect, scuff them, paint them, enjoy them.

I'd say it was body shop fitment then, Every Gm replacement I've seen fit perfect.
