I think (its been a while) I paid the better part of $175 to have my '97 done and its worth every penny.
Back when I started driving I did a couple of mine myself and even for some friends. But the Camaro's tint was a birthday gift and I prolly wont ever DIY it again, lol.
Although I had great luck with mine, most dont when they do it. And its aggrivating.
Its aggrivating EVERY time you open your door, everytime you roll the window up and down, and EVERY time a passenger says "Hey, whats wrong with your tint? Did you know its messed up? You should fix that! ect....."
Tinting your own windows, IMO, is like buying cheap toilet paper. The dollar difference is too small to justify just not doing it right the first time and be done with it.
Convinced yet? lol

The State Trooper's meter said mine are 7%. Is that dark enough?
I tinted the windows on my old Civic with tint I bought from Wal Mart. I've had all my other cars professionally done and been much happier with it. The tint on my T/A has been peeling since I bought it. It will be redone by a pro. (and replaced with 20% to please the piggies)

**** i cannot believe you guys are getting away with anything less than 35% on the sides! I have 35% reflective to help avoid the cops (they seem to think its the reflection) all my other cars have been black on the sides including 5%, 20%, and 35% and i was constantly getting pulled over! Actually one time the cop told me to pull it off right there! I hate illiniois rules!
