Default windows just wont get clean

Windex and a paper towel has always cleaned any window for me, but on the camaro it looks very smudged in the sunlight, even after I try multiple times. Is windex no good on these windows for some reason? or do i just suck?

Same here. I just gave up on windex all together.

I just use water and a towel now.

The best results I've had are with Meguiar's NXT glass cleaner and their microfiber towel made for cleaning glass.

First clean it really good using 50/50 vinegar and water with paper towels. Then follow up with Stoners Invisible Glass or Eagle One 20/20 with newspaper.

Yea, vinegar is a very effective "natural" cleaner, and cheap too! I used to have a home-brew recipe for glass cleaner that went something like........
to 1 gallon of water add 1 cup white vinegar and 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap(or something like that). Anyway vinegar and water mix will definitely cut that film that covers our inside glass.

Yes, that will remove RainX. I'm a big proponent of vinegar and water for cleaning windows. Claybar works well on windows too.

Make sure you clean the insides too. I know this sounds stupid, but I've seen lots of people who complain about hazy windows and have never cleaned the insides. You'd be surprised how dirty they can get.

I have the Invisible Glass, and used it on a few cars. It makes the windows fog up really easy.
