Default Clay bar & Vinyl strips

I am getting ready to claybar my car for the first time and I am concerned about the vinyl strips I have put on the car. They are the two strips that run from the front to the back. should I tape them off or can I go over them with the bar?

The instructions I got with mine said specifically not to use a claybar on them

You can clay the stripes without any problems, just use caution, especially near the edges.
Also use caution when applying wax or polish, as the edge of the stripe will allow a build up and be a little hard to remove.

Good Luck!
