Default Cleaning body behind rear wheels?

I'm talking about the part on the bottom of the body that's gets the tar buildup that just doesn't come off. Anyone have any tips on cleaners or techniques to get that clean?

Mineral spirits will take it off...then clay/wax and remember to wash that area everytime you wash the car

Clay bar is for fine contaminants like overspray, not tar build up.

Mineral spirits or any low grade laquer thinner like whats sold at any local auto or hardware store. Castrol super clean works wonders on tar also, and it wont evaporate as quickly as the thinner or spirits.

You mean rubber build up? lol And like others have said, claybar works great, although I would recomend getting off as much as possible with your nails without scratching the surface in order to save using a whole clay bar.

Well its prob not the best thing for the paint but, wd-40 works. Just be sure to wash it good and youll have to wax it again. I wouldnt use it every time you wash. Bug and tar remover works too. you can get that at any auto store.

I thought we were talking about road tar?

I heard from several people that Pam workes great to keep rubber from sticking at the track.

Yea, I was going to sell the car but chickened out and decided to keep it.

They used to have a product that would keep rubber and such from sticking to the area that you sprayed it on.

I just washed my car and after using a terry cloth and water plus scrubbing it came right off. Though I should also say that the car is waxed, I don't know what it will do to your paint but it doesn't scratch of blemish mine. Again I have wax on mine though.

go to wal-mart and get some bug and tar remover. no mixing or anything, just spray it on and rub it off, but it does require alot of elbow grease
