Default 3rd brake light help!

I recently purchased a 98+ SS Spoiler off a local person but it does not have the 3rd brake light. I tried to get one from the stealer-ship but the guy behind the counter didnt understand what I was talking about. I tried to do a search on here but couldn't find anything usefull.

Can anyone provide me with links from online stores, or even ebay for a 98+ SS Spoiler 3rd brake light!? Maybe even someone I could contact about it? I dont know what brand spoiler it is either.

Thanks in advance for any help!

-Alex

When I had my SS I looked for one, and even contacted SLP. They said the only place to get one from was the Dealer. That sucks ***.... I was going to fix it / upgrade it myself, but sold it.

well first, go back to the dealer. smack the **** out of him. if he doesnt understand what a third brake light is, then he needs to go back to mcdonalds and flip burgers.

second. go back and ask to talk to someone else or a supervisor. ask them again, if its 135 then just ask them for the part number. take the part number to gmpartsdirect.com. see if they have it. if not keep ur eyes open. i sold one like a year ago. so thats always possible

12369969 is the part number , like 1sicv6 & ws6extreme said it seems to only be $83 from gmpartsdirect instead of $135 still a bit much for me i might try to have a friend create a strip of LED`s that hook up instead thats just so much for a brake light

It's really sad that this thing costs $135 when you can buy two corner assemblies off eBay for less than $40, which is more than 2x as much the manufacturing complexity.

Also headlights which are equally as important are a 1/4 of the price then a third brake light! Im by no means advocating this, but I see so many cars on the road with non functioning 3rd brake lights, why cant I do it!? My 85' T/A didnt have one I just ordered it so I can't wait to mount it up.
