Default gauge cluster

i have a question how come a 1998 gauge speedometer cluster wont fit on a 1995 . I own a 95 with the metric odometer and i like the one with the digital is easy to read at night and daytime, is there any way to modify it and make it fit thanks in advance.

If you dont like the look of your original gauge cluster you could upgrade to something like I did.
