Default Those with MBA's Brake Master Cylinder Cover.....

How did you install it? I finally looked at installing it tonight, on my SS and it doesn't just slip right over the brake master cylinder because the front of the dash/hood is there. How did you guys install your covers? Thanks!

You can either pull out a few of the black plastic push pins in the cowl...

Or do like me and pull up on the cowl without removing anything. It isn't going to break, and it fits. Be a man and force that thing in.

just unbolt the master cylinder from the booster if you have to. it's only two bolts and gives you enough play to slip it on. very easy.

My cowl piece was already off when I installed it, so it slipped right on...I would just remove a couple of the push pins and move that side of the cowl piece...

Thanks guys, I'll try it again tonight, and I'll be alittle more forceful with the cowl.

Yeah, use the thumb of your right hand to hold the cowl up while you slip the cover on with your left hand. No need to remove it, just bend it a little.

Careful not to scratch the cover on the hood strut !

Yea, I noticed last night when I was messing with it, that I have to be careful or else, the cover will be scratched. How easy is it to take the cowl off?

No need to remove the cowl, just bend it out of the way to install the cover.

I've never removed it, never had a need to and those little clips can be nasty.

Yea, I scraped my hands on those clips quite a bit when I installed my frc's. I'll bend the cowl up and put tape on the cover and hopefully it will be secure.

The clips are very easy to remove...you just gently pry up the center pin with a small flathead screwdriver and the whole pin lifts out of the hole...it'll make sense when you look at the clip...

Travis,

Don't take the cowl off. Just pull the cap and it will slip on with a little tug upward on the cowl. I have 2 of these covers and love them.

I finally got it on tonight. Boy what a pain in the *** it was. I don't know if its just my car or dumb luck but one of the spikes on the cowl was right over top of the cover and the cowl would not sit properly. I just cut the end of the spike off and everything looks good. I'm glad I got it b/c it looks good installed, but I'm glad I had some beer left in the fridge!
