Default anyone have hid fogs?

does anyone have hid foglights? i drive with just my fogs on usually because it gives the car a mean look plus id like to actually let people see the halos. thing is with just fogs the vision isnt too great, also wouldnt hids in the fogs be less blinding than in the headlights? or worse? thanks

I know someone on here put halo fogs in his light holes, but I havent found the link yet to see if they were HID or not.

yea, they sell an 880 kit on ebay i was just gonna use one of those kits. do you guys think it would be as blinding as if you were to put those in the stock headlight housing?

oh and by the way what size fog lights do we use i thought it was 800?

will do, might be a while I got a clutch install I have to do before anything else! BTW I think if you go to Sylvania's website they might have info on bulb replacement in the foglights...not to sure tho.

hids in the fogs would actually be more blinding.. first the glare from the stock housings would be horrible. second of all, to get any useable light out of them, you would have to level them off, instead of being angled slightly downward like your headlights would be. the problem is, every time you hit a bump, that light is going to shine in oncoming drivers eyes. also, because the light is set in so far on the bumper, dont expect to have very good spread. only good part is there probably gonna look really good.

Yeah using the stock Fog lamp housing is pointless I put the Sylvania Siverstar in and well it didnt make any difference except a whiter look. I was dissapointed.

after i finish my HID halo conversion i plan on working on my fogs. Not sure if i can reuse the stock fogs or not, i'll keep everybody updated.

Camaro owners might be able to use their fogs. Aren't they projectors? Or at least look like them?

they are projectors, but the bulbs com in from the bottom, and there is very little clearance. i dont think that a hid style bulb would fit without some kind of modification.

Okay, cancel that idea. You are correct HID capsules are definitely longer than a stock bulbs. At least my hawk headlights and Camaro's capsules are.

hey a friend of mine made some customs hid's on his 02 ceta trans am....i will post some pics when i get a chance...he has the stock fog housing s but with hid's
