Default filling in the gap around the front TA license plate area

can I use bondo in a tube (pre-mixed type) to fill in the gap around the TA front tag?
or do I have to use bumper rebuild plastic weld stuff?

I don't ever plan on have a front licence plate.

if I do this will the entire bumper need repainting or can it be airbrushed?

anyone have pics of this TA front bumper mod?
Thanks

Don't use Bondo.IT WILL CRACK,BREAK AND FALL OUT IN NO TIME. Get something called Duramix or an equivalent from your local auto paint jobber.

ive seen this done on a v6 bird before. looked really clean. i will probably do this before too long if a reasonable way to do it is found. i live in a state with no front plate, and even if i were to move to a state with front plates, id keep the car registered here for emmissions and plate things. what kinds of retail places would carry duramix?

I would grind the edges down on both the bumper and insert, fill in with a flexible epoxy, then smooth with flexible filler.

That Duramix stuff comes in such SMALL quantities.... An auto shop should have a better solution other than buying cases of that stuff. It looks like great stuff if you can get it in larger quantities.

Small? The smallest I could buy was the size of two caulk tubes. There's ALOT of it.

This will probably be my next project along with another slight modification to the front clip to give it a slightly different look. Here is a quick chop of the license area filled in.

This man speaks the truth. I filled in mine 5 years ago almost verbatim what he said. Haven't had any problems with it.

The stuff that I was looking at on there said it was in 6 oz containers. Now I could have mis-read it, but that was my understanding.

how much grinding is suggested on both tag insert & bumper?

is plactic weld bumper repair considered flexable filler?

I have a Bud that do'es only bumper repair contracting for Keystone said he would do it for $40. basically the cost of his glue.

BTW both cars look great.

Thanks
