Default Anyone pull off the whistler mod on old headlights?

Just like it says. I want some feedback before I bake mine...kinda skeptical at this point!

did it to my 00 headlights and it worked nicely. it took a lil bit of time, but it was worth it

Be very very careful!Dont get impatient if ya do it because the plastic gets pretty britel when it gets old.

Yeah be REALLY careful, I cracked the housing on my 02' headlight it wasnt really noticeable but it did suck. In the end I just ditched them and bought a set of halos.

lol exact same here. I always wanted halos, just needed an excuse I guess.

I cracked a small piece off on mine, but I made sure when sealing it back up to use some more silicone in that stop but you cant even tell with the hood down.

You dont have to pry the lense off with the first pass. Work around the lip SLOWLY and you'll be ok. Dont get over anxious. If it takes you 3 passes with the knife before the lense pops off, so what. And you can always throw it back into the oven for 5 minutes after you've worked it out for 2-3 passes. Again, just take your time and you'll be alright.

got them apart just fine! no problems 215 degrees for 20 min in the oven and they practically fell apart. Putting in a secret weapon to my lights! Will post pics when done!
