Personally.. if I had to do it over again, I might get the functional Raptor hood deal.
I got a great price on my hood, 650 shipped haha.
Anyways, mine is the same as the black TA but I got silver vents. They had to trim the front fascia around some since it was rubbing against it. Not to mention the hood latch needed to be notched so that it could be bent and then puleld far enough up to open the hood
Looks wise.. I think the nostrils being back as far as they are makes the cowling look a little beefier than the raptor.. which nostrils start at the front of the hood. The raptor looks smoother. though I feel the SLP looks a little meaner.
The baffle pretty much makes the ram air of this hood useless or so I think
Not too sure what the baffling and underside of the raptor looks like. Was wondeirng what makes the raptor hood fucntional vs non functional.. other than adding a new air box

Well there is no functional vs non functional versoion of the SLP hood that I know of. Behind the nostrils it has a 2 inch high or so baffle that extends past both nostrils. It has about a 2 inch gap at the top to let air into the baffle then up and over it, into the hood and air box etc.
So technically I guess it works as a means of letting air into the hood But as far as ramming it into the air box No it doesnt do that

Thats exactly why i bought the car!! lol. i was just rolling through the local pontiac dealers lot, when i saw this T/A on their upper used car lot that looked like it could suck me through the hood if it wanted too. I looked that night, test drove 2 days later, then bought it the following day.
