Default The 93-97 to 98-02 trans am conversion thread (everyone whos done it, please add)

Ok, so we've all seen the threads. Can it be done? How do I do it? What parts do I need?
Personally, I'm starting to collect the parts to do it, and I'm having trouble finding any helpful info other than "Yes it can be done."
However I found a thread at camarov6 on the subject and it seemed very helpful.

Here's the parts you need:

1- Left and right Fenders
2- Left and Right Fender brackets and L Brackets
3- Upper Support bar that headlights bolt onto
4- Front bumper impact bar which goes behind the foam
5- Foam for behind the bumper
6- Complete headlight assemblies
7- Left and Right parking lights
8- Marker lights for front bumper
9- Hood
10- Front bumper and License Plate Cover
11- Fog Lights

Additional tips from the thread:
Also buy two 5 pin connector pig tails to make wiring easier (93 and 98 headlight connectors are different), also to get all your lines straight before installing your front bumper put on your headlights and hood, remove the headlight cover and bezel there you find 3 torx screws. Loosen them up, now your headlight can move up and down, left and right until you're happy with your alignment then tighten them up.

Now this is where I'm asking for help from those who've done the conversion.
Do you really need a new upper support bar where the headlights bolt to?
Can you use the 93-97 foglights?

Would anyone have a list of part numbers for all these parts? Specifically the upper support bar and front impact bar for behind the foam.

Does anyone have a write up with pictures or without on what to remove and put on first and last?

Hopefully this clears up a lot of questions people have on the subject. Maybe somehow this can be sticked but I doubt it. Please add any knowledge you have for this conversion to help everyone (including me) who is thinking about or is actually going to do it.

Did you do the work yourself? Or did you have a shop do it?

I found the bumper support on ebay and he might sell me the bracket for the headlights too. Woot.

I have every part you need at my shop at least twice over. Give me a call with whatever you're missing.
The foglights are the same, but the mounting brackets are different.
What do you mean by upper headlight mounting bar? You have to install the fiberglass piece that holds the top of the bumper cover, that's all.

i wrote a tread in here do a search it also have a link with pictures of my conversion on how i install everything, the tread u read in camarov6.com i put it myself i did the whole work by myself is as easy as putting a small model car together and the upper support bar connects to the headlights in the inner side it also works as a bumper support so it won't sag down. I believe i email u with a few links were u r gonna find everything u need dont buy used brackets usually the car has been hit and they're bent or damaged buy them new they r cheap about 8.00 a piece. It took me 3 1/2 hours to take everything out and put back in leave the front bumper for last it would make it easier to get all your lines i speak by experience but everyone is entitled to do it the're own way.

Yay new questions.
I drew pics to help.

98-02 Trans ams have 2 more lights up front than the 93-97.
Labelled A are the side markers for the car and B are the turn signals.
93-97 cars have side makers and turn signals in one.
Question is, do the side markers for 98-02 light up? Or are they just reflectors?
If they do light up, how'd you do the wiring?

How do you change the wiring to keep the turn signals on a constant light until you hit the turn signal to make them blink?

You do need that fiberglass piece, you don't need to change the part of the radiator support you outlined in yellow.

How does the wiring differ being the 93-97 has one sealed beam and the 98-02 has two?

I guess you mean the headlights. You have to splice in a new connector to the harness. Apparently its called a 5pin connector pigtails (its in the first post)

The corner/driving lights are a different story. Printed out some wiring diagrams I hav to look them over later.
