If it appears to be stock and all the lights are there and functional, I don't see you having any problems. But then again I don't know the California laws.

Are you gonna run wheelie bars? The wheelie bar opening might look funny without wheelie bars sticking through. Or are you planning on some wild exhaust?

think you would need to cut off the part that is trying to mimmic part of the hatch..
