So heres the deal. I bought the car with the stripe on it and at first, I loved it. Now Im having mixed feelings about it and dont know if I should go back to solid black. I would like some of you guys' opinions on it. I would like you to be as honest as possible because its gonna cost some money to get it repainted so I want to be sure before I do it. I know its all my personal preferrence but as I said earlier, Im having mixed feelings. Pics are in my link. Thanks guys!!

I like the white stripe, but I think it clashes with the silver wheels. That car would probably look better with white powdercoated SS wheels to match the stripe. Also, remove the red bordered SS emblems and put the silver border emblems, it will probably flow with the car colors better.

Or, try some chrome wheels. I think the white/silver just doesn't complete the look.

No way, keep the stripe and powdercoat your wheels black with a polished lip. Car looks very nice as is.

His wheels are polished/chrome. I agree, that stripe would look sweet with the white anniversary wheels on the car.

well i wish i would have started this thread about 4 hours earlier. i just bought some chrome z06's to replace the polished zr1's, which are for sale by the way- - PM me. what about a silver stripe and change out all the red emblems with silver emblems? thanks for all your thoughts guys!! keep em commin...

That's what I would do. Just change out the red SS emblems for the silver SS emblems and put silver stripes on the car. It'll look good that way, and work with the chrome Z06s.

IT just needs white hockey stripes too! That's what I've got on my car with the new manta stripe. I have chrome ZR1's but my drag wheels are 16x8 white ZR1's from a 97 SS vert. I'm planning on changing my SS emblems over to 69 style chrome with white inlays.

Stripe looks good, but if you lowered it and changed the wheels the whole car would come together.

Call me weird, but I'd ditch the back half of the stripe. The front one looks cool but I'm just not crazy about extending it across the trunk. Plain black on the back is classier, IMO.

I think you are heading in the right direction there. Silver + Black + Chrome Z06's will look bad *** and flow very well
