The only problem that I had with mine was a little scrape on the top, hence the little piece of felt that I put on it. Parbreak (on this forum) did mine for me though. I wasn't brave enough to try it for myself.

Thanks for the compliments!
Parbreak had originally told me about having to prep it since the paint won't stick to the lid. I had read about people using a type of precoat on the lid to help it stick, but I think they usually sanded the surface too. On my lid, I know there is a lot of clearcoat over the surface as well. It may help it stay on better too. I'd look up his name on here and send him a PM if I were looking to do it. He may be able to give you some pointers. He usually posts in the topics about engine bay pics. Good guy too. Oh yeah, he also did my FRCs.

Now that's what I'm talking about. My only complaint about my FRCs is that I felt like screaming trying to get them in without damaging the paint. Luckily, with the help of a good friend, we got them in with minimal scratches (all on the very backside).
Good quality work on the paint themes for lids and FRCs.

hey what kind of paint did you use? because i used high temp engine paint (white) on mine and it has since turned a nasty yellow color.

I used regular spray paint on mine. I prepped the surface really well with sandable primer. Got it really smooth first, then hit it with a few coats of colour and a few of clear. Wet sanding in between.
