Metal Headlight Gears
Anyone make them for the Trans Ams? I heard someone did on here but im not sure. Arent the factory ones plastic? Never looked before...

Yes the factory gears are plastic. If you currently suffer from the headlight issue you can simply correct it by turning the gear 180 degrees. Only half the teeth are used to lower and raise the headlight. How long the other side of the gear lasts I don't know. They do make a metal gear and I know they do cuz I've seen it but I can't remember where at.

I went through my brass gear quicker than I went through the plastic gear. You have to make sure the motor is tight after you put it in and that the gear housing is properly glued down. On mine the gear housing came apart and it caused the brass gear to strip. I just put in a new motor last weekend.
