Accenting the interior, need some advice.
After dropping all my extra cash on headers and an exhaust over Christmas I'm looking for something relatively cheap to do to the Camaro so I've decided to accent the interior. What I'm planning on doing is just painting some of the a/c vents and dash items SOM to match the car, nothing too unique really as far as this forum goes. I did have a couple of questions however:
1) Is there a write-up for this floating around? I did a few searches but nothing turned up
2) Should I perhaps save my money and go with billet accents? I'm a big fan of both the SOM color and billet so either would work, just want some opinions here really.
3) Where can I get the paint for this and what code or whatever do I give them? (Sorry, have absolutely no knowledge about automotive paint, never had to buy any for any reason prior to this.)
4) Any tips and tricks you guys wanna share with me? Pictures of your own modified interiors are always cool too.

I sort of wanted to paint my interior trim, but I decided against it. I added some billet ***** and brushed aluminum stuff to mine. I like it pretty well now.

i did a write up on my interior a while back. i painted it w/ a gun using bse coat/clear coat. regardless of what kinda paint you use (gun vs. rattlecan), the prep is the same and the prep determines the quality of the pinihsed product.
-rub the pieces down with laquer thinner to degrease them
-sand 200 grit
-sand 400 grit
-spray adhesion promoter to ensure paint sticks to plastic
-spray 3 coats of primer
-sand 400 grit
-sand 600 grit
-wetsand 800 grit
-spray one last uniform coat of primer
-wetsand 1000 grit
-sand 1500 (get it scuffed up enough so paint will stick)
-spray 3 coats of base coat
-wetsand VERY LIGHTLY w/ 1000 grit
-spray one last uniform basecoat
-spray clear coat (as many coats as you want, but not so much at once that it will run)
-wetsand 2000 grit
-hand polish the pieces to bring back the shine that was taken away with wetsanding
-wax the pieces to seal and protect the polish
-re-install the pieces and enjoy!
if you paint the door pieces, be sure not to clear them too heavy, bc the clear will run down into the little bowl part, and it can eat up the base coat underneath, thats what happened to me and i had to touch it up.

if you have an ebony interior i would go with a nice glossy black, looks really good, but dont go with anything flashy like red or yellow, for me, subtle goes a long way.

Glossy black would look nice, but I was really just feeling the SOM to match the exterior...after seeing these billet interiors though I'm thinking that it might be in my best interest to just wait for the money to do that. Thanks a lot for all your help guys.
Edit: Also, who do you recommend for all my billet needs? I'd really like to get at least AC vents, shifter ****, and a few other small accent pieces
