Hood Lift Support
I bought a lightweight fiberglass SS hood for my Z and because of the weight differences, the hood supports are too strong. The other day the paint on my hood cracked from the flex while I was closing it.
Does anyone know where I can buy new hood lift supports made for lighter weight hoods? Or do you have any other ideas?

You can get some old supports that have worn out, or drill a hole in yours, then use a small clamp on the support if they're too weak to hold the hood up.
You could get rid of them , and use a solid rod (nice polished AL or stainless, like the t top holders) to hold the hood open, using the stock hood support mounting positions
