Couldn't resist a deal like this! http://www.hidplanet.com/bosch.html
It's going to be a big project to tackle but I think it'll be worth it in the end!

I will. The bosch projectors are ECE replacements for BMW E46 cars or Audi TTs. I'm going to have to fab up a bunch of crap for these, but luckily I have a buddy who works at a fabrication shop and his dad owns it, so I'll be getting to use their stuff for free and most likely get all the supplies for next to nothing! I'd like to know what that guy used and what he did, but I am going to incorporate a plastic piece over the lense in my design!

Do you have the install planned out?
I ask because the E46 is not bi-xenon and your model of car only has room for one projector per side. I also don't think there is room for a fixed light unless it bulges up above the hood line. What were you planning to do?
I plan to convert mine to bi-xenon using a movable cutoff shield and a locking relay. That way I can have high and low beam be HID. I think I can fit mine into my 99 style light opening and make a fixed unit that doesn't bulge up.

What bulb do you plan on using with that housing? I will be going with 8000K in the fog, and driving light, and a 5000K for highs, I just need to find a conversion housing for the low beam, for the breathless kit, because they use a Sylvania H-4351 housing, that is what is on a LT1 Camaro, so I have to find something roughly 50mm by 135mm or so...

I am currently working on the plans for where the projector is going to go and how it is going to be held in place and an acrylic, plastic, or lexan shield to go over the Projector lense. I don't really care about high beams as I never use them anyway. I don't flash my lights at anyone or any of that crap so it's not a big deal, plus you don't have to go through inspection in Florida. I'm most likely going to go with a 3000k bulb because I love the color and the way it lights up the road. Yes I know it's not pure white or blue, but it is different and not everyone else has it as a low beam color. I am not going to make a fixed headlight of anysorts because that is just getting into a whole nother project that requires some professional work. I'm a college student and of course I try to do everything as cost effective as possible! Once I am done with the design of the housing I am going to the fab shop to make it and hopefully all turns out well!

I understand your retrofitting your existing lights with them, but I asked what kind of bulb H what? 3000K is only the kelvin rating or "brightness" the brightest is 5000K lower is still a yellowy white color, if yellowy is a word lol, the higher the more blue, then into purple you get....

If you want to have a protective shield in front of the lens then you want to use Lexan. It's a lot stronger and more heat resistant than plexiglass. It will survive rocks as well. The only down side is that it scratches very easily. To fix that you need to apply a protective film on it. There are at least 3 brands on the market.

For my own project I plan to use OEM 4100K bulbs manufactured by Philips. It's a pure white, very bright and it will have a nice blue color band when used with the E46 projectors.
Here's a link where the guy used 2 metal light housings to seal his E46's in.

His pics are gone, but I'll post some of them.

Took me a while, but I found some LT1 conversion pics. I knew I had them, but couldn't find them. Look here.

More pics are below. Note, he had to cut the metal behind the light to fit it in.

Kind of a ghetto setup but it works! THere is enough room to have the projector stick out a little bit so you dont have to cut it like he did! That's a lot of work and what the hell is that huge box on the back of the projector? I want mine to look very clean in every aspect, I'll spend as much time as possible to get it perfect! Thanks for the links, they are def. a lot of help for ideas!
