Using a Clay Bar... :: Clay Bar Newbie!! :: lol
I really want to Clay Bar my ride at the next detailing, but have no idea how to use it... I've read the articles on Autopia and some other websites, but I'd love to hear how you guys CLAY your rides ?
A detailed procedure would help a lot!...
Also, which CLAY BAR kit are you guys using ?
Thanks!!

I use the Mother's clay bar kit. All I do is wash it really good with Mother car wash, then dry it off with microfibers towels. Next you clay the car, just make sure the area you are claying is wet with the solution they give you and just rub it over the area until it is perfectly smooth. Then I usually give it a quick wash, dry, then apply your favorite wax/sealant.

Just read the Zaino link posted by Red 01SS, and is it true that a bar's life is about 3 - 4 sessions ?
Also, do you clay in circular motions or just back and forth or it doesn't really matter ?
Does the surface have to be wet or just a bit moisturized when using the bar ?
Finally, is it safe to use Microfiber towels instead of Terrycloth ?
Thanks!!

but yes keep it wet or you'll mess up your paint.
It's not tricky to do so don't be scared just don't be stupid with it and you'll be fine.
That link listed was a good write up and i'd say to click it and follow it you'll be fine.
