How the hell do I get my shifter **** off? I got a Hurst shifter **** that I want to replace my stock one with, and I've been fighting with this thing for 20 minutes, I thought it just unscrewed? Help! LOL

SCREW YOU.....I mean it.. 
[mine was on real,real tight also when I went to put on my Hurst T-Handle,but it finally came loose.]
