I have it and have had it for a few years now. They kit did not replace all the bolts under the hood. I've had to by many many more bolts and nuts but that is just my preference. The kit does with enough to cover most everything, though it is pricey. From what I understand, they no longer sell the kits..?.?

Heres a older pic of my engine bay which you can see some of the bolts in...

I've spend at least another $250 at Hillco after buying the kit, just replacing odd bolts that you can see that are not included in the kit. You'd be surprised how many damn bolts are in the engine bay!!

I have the kit as well...it's very high quality and is nicely packaged in individual bags. To me, it was worth the price...it's all in the details!

That would be at Hillco. Do a google search and it will come up. I've had the kit for about 2 years and thought it was worth the money.

I wanted something different so i ordered mine as individual pieces. That way i could change the body bolts and nuts only. I wanted to leave the motor bolts as i had them. This also allowed me to use chrome flat washers.

Would you guys rather pay more money to have chrome bolts, or would the majority want high polished bolts for less $ ?

I was thinking of having button headed fasteners with an allen slot in the center. I don't have the quotes on the chrome/polish yet because I still have to take an example of each size/length bolt so I have a guess of raw material price.

I'd like to offer underhood beauty kits at very high quality for less money.

I personally prefer the polished look at a lower cost.

I think I'd like the chrome ones for the ease to keep clean. If a whole lot of a difference in price, I'll take a polished set. The idea of having an allen slot in the center sounds good.

I'd like to see a kit that offers intake manifold, waterpump, and valve cover bolts. If anyone has a site/price for these, please post up.

Polished stainless is just as durable as chrome as far as appearance goes. No need to clean/polish all the time like polished aluminum.

My plater chromes bolts for around $2-3$ a piece. Most of that money goes toward the labor intensive polishing step prior to plating (the first polishing step is the most important for a quality chrome finish). So the way I look at it, if you are gonna pay the price to polish (which is most of the $$ toward chrome plating) then you might as well go the tiny bit extra and get the chrome.

Chrome does look different than polished stainless when held up against one another - I prefer the chrome look.

Firehawk#608 - you must have around 200 appearance projects to work on by now! Guess you're gonna have to pick and choose your battles and start with what you can handle in short time...

A lot of my stuff is outsourced to the best. I will handle the store which will give one location for all the stuff. Every product wont be there from day one, but there will be new stuff added weekly and there'll be some groundbreaking items from this company.

Yeah I can't wait to look around at your stuff.. but I do hope you carry some chrome items or at least a chrome plating service in addition to the polishing.

It wouldn't be called "Chrome & Performance" if it didn't have chrome as an option. I'm getting excited, things are speeding up.
