Best towel to dry car off with
Its a Black Trans AM, tough color - I know, but I like it.
To help avoid swirls/scuffs when towel drying, what is the best towel to use?
There were threads about this a few years ago, but I forgot the brand names, and where to get them.

the absorber is the best.
just slide it across the car and it picks up the water. I always use a bucket of clean water to rinse it and it works good.
then i use a terry towel with meguiars quick detailer to get the streaks and water spots.

I always start with a quick run of a water blade to get all the excess water off. Then I use a waffle weave towel, it works great. Absorbs a lot but also doesnt leave any streaks or water spots. My favorite towel by far.

Water blade = bad Let a piece of dirt get under it and watch what hapens
I use the absorber to get the majority of the water off and a waffle weave town to finish up and then microfiber and a detailing spray for the finish.
Do a search for microfiber on here and LS2.com. One guy did a nice comparison.

I just bought a Porter Cable polisher kit that came with a couple of nice general purpose microfiber towels. I was going to order more of them on-line but to my surprise the local Pep Boys had a big selection of microfiber products. In fact they had alot of nice detailing products there including The Absorber which I almost bought. I picked up a large size microfiber drying towel instead and some polishing cloths. They had quite a selection of drying products there.

yeah costco's got these yellow microfiber towels that come in like 10 to a package, but they work real well, and they're real cheap. My old man keeps two extra packages in the basement "just in case".

Absorber.. hand down. Been using Absorbers for a good 6-7yrs or so.
I recently just got a water blade... the trick is to clean it REALLY good before use. Also.. if you get dirt stuck on it... then you didnt do a good job cleaning your car beforehand.
