swap seat covers?

swap seat covers? I have a 98 Z28 convertible with leather, and power driver seat. The seats are in good shape for the miles, but the driver bolster shows some typical wear. Has anyone swapped the front leathers side to side to extend the life?

It won't work on a Z really because it has a cut out in the back of the cover for the seat latch. You can do it on TA's because they have a large piece of plastic that covers the whole rear of the seat.
