Tinting my windshield.
If you are going to post how illegal that is; don't bother, I don't care. If i did, I wouldn't have tinted my windows to begin with.
Is this a good idea?? It would probably cost me 50 bucks, and I know someone who does awesome work. Window tinters have a tool they use to cut the edges, but that leaves a gap, and this guy does great work freehand.
He limo tinted the sides and back for 180 bucks and let me drink all his beer while I waited. The tints look great, but I can't see at night. I usually drive with the windows down for this reason, but it's worth it when it's parked.
Anyway, the guy that does it has been pulled over quite a few times and no mention of the tinted windshield, (because who the hell does that anyway, right?)
It would be a one peice, and you won't see a seam above the rear view mirror, and of course, very lightly tinted.
Would you guys do it, if it made your t/a look nicer??

It would keep me from having to put up the windshield reflector in intense heat/sun. The car would look darker overall, and you can't see who is in the car.
I've been reassured that with the lightest tint, you will have no prob seeing at night.
The F-bodies already have a border around the windshield to mask the pillars, why not mask the driver???

Sunglasses are dark tinted.
Unless your blind, you won't have a problem seeing through 5% tint.
Joke all you want, but until you've seen it, that's all that you can do.
You four-eyed people aside, this is not common among fbodies and wanted contructive criticm.
Yes, I will ******* see at night. It's people not being able to see inside the car that i'm interested in.

did he get the lightest tint?? My mom can barely drive at night because of her eyesight, and i worry about it, but don't have the same prob myself.
Yeah, it's a compromise, but if it doesn't bother me, since my car mostly resides in the garage. And when in the sun, the dash won't warp

Hey, mine was done before I got my car it's gone this summer it looks like crap. If your driving at night you can't see very well it has a haze so yeah it's gone. It does make it hard to see out of even during the day.

Yeah, because your car will be in a wrecking yard somewhere.
I've seen this done, trust me, don't do it. If you think you can see through 5% tint at night you are a retard. All you'll see is headlights right before they smash your skull.

What about the windshield fogging up? Will it get worse with tint? Rain-x is for glass only. But if I have to crack the windows anyway, I won't have that problem.
oh yeah, My eyes are sensitive to light. No, not when i'm high, regardless. I own so many pairs of sunglasses, they are not hard to find. But a tinted windshield will be easier on the eyes, with or without shades.
