Pics: Painted Nostrils and Brakes
Here's my SOM T/A, I'm on break so I wanted to do a few things to make it show quality.
1st thing I painted the nostrils, the car came with flat black grills that were faded and touched up with a sharpie or something. I painted em glossy black:
Before:
After:
Here is my brakes, I still have to do the front ones but, my friend, Joel recommended I try a "Anodized Orange". I took his advice and they came out great. I also painted the fenderwells, rotors, and cleaned it up nice. I think soon I will paint the inner surface of my rims as well. The car looks spectacular. Only problem I had was the dang rotors were frozen onto the axle so i had to bang the hell out of them to get em off.
And here's an overall pic:

Good job!
On painting the inner part of the rim. YES. I did that with my Firehawk rims and it is sooo much better. SLP rims are known to corrode and look crummy on the inside anyway.
When you wash your car and your rag wipes some of the brake dust off the inside, it will still match because it's all flat/gloss black in there. Plus it makes the chrome face stand out more in contrast.
If I got a brand new set, I'd mask, then paint them again in a heartbeat. Absolutely no downside to that mod.
Oh yeah, paint the rotor hats black so the rust doesn't ruin the show.

Did the front ones today, and painted pretty much my entire front suspension.
