The mudflaps will have to go because the tires are rubbing on them. Which is funny because they are stock size up front...

They also rub on the plastic at the very front of the wheels when turning. Has anyone else had this happen? It leaves marks on the tires. I could get a picture of what i'm talking about tomorrow.

I can't wait to clean the car up...its filthy, but the wheels are so nice it draws your attention away from it. They were freshly cleaned & polished with Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. I was amazed at the results, they were clean to begin with but it turned my microfiber completely black.

Blacking out the turn signals, side markers, doing Blackbird stripes, new tail lights, new center panel with !bird mod, new tips, new tint and a wash/clay/paint touchup/scratch removal/polish/wax extravaganza...there is a lot of work to be done!

I can't believe how much these things shined up. My favorite pic -> http://home.neb.rr.com/soulburner/My%20Ride/TT2%203.jpg

Done by hand with a microfiber towel

My front tires hit the front plastic inner fender panel as is evident by the mark on the plastic - stock size TTII's and tires on the front - think it's normal?

Yeah these are 17x9.5 with 275/40/17 on the front. I noticed that the plastic is flexible though, so maybe I could figure something out to get it out of the way.

They are just polished wheels yes? What did you use to polish them? What was your process if you don't mind me asking.

I simply cleaned them up, I have some generic "Wheel Cleaner/Brightener" in a dark blue spray bottle from O'Reiley's. It has a citrus smell to it.

After that I used Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish with a microfiber. It comes in a small round can and is a white paste. Massaged all parts of the wheel until the towel turns black (only takes a few seconds) and buffed/removed it with a seperate microfiber. Pretty simple really. Your hands get a workout doing it though, and it took me probably 1.5 hours to do all four including the tire spray.

On a side note...for being 315's, these aren't very wide...

I've thought about it, but am undecided. I never thought it looked bad to be honest. It continues the line that starts at the front under the turn signal.
