Default How do you clean you engine bay?

Is power washing your engine bay a good idea, what is the safest way to clean it.

Simple green, let sit for about a minute or so then spray off and dry and viola...

Micro fiber towel, aluminum polish, and a spray bottle of water.

soap and water with some wd40 and elbow grease



just make sure not to get a lot of water on the intake manifold

No it just isn't installed with the new mods yet. Waiting on a power ring from TNT that fits the NW 90mm throttle body.

I cover computer and fuse box, then do what DVST80R said , only I use ENGINE BRITE..Citrus Flavoured....yum, yum, yum......

Soap and water. Greased lightining for the really nasty gunk(although I wipe it and spray it off right away). Blow it off with a leaf blower, then towel dry.

I sprayed WD-40 on the engine bay let it sit for a while, then washed it with a soap and water.

sweet lookin engine bays and nice and clean.. but can somebody tell me how to relocate all the wires going over the passanger side wheel well?? im in the process of cleaning mine up and makeing it look better.. thanks for the help.

AWESOME pix guys. I used engine brite, but it ate away at some of the paint on the inside of my hood. so just be careful with that stuff.

anyone got a good way to clean LT1's mine is dirty as sht.. I want to have this thing chromed and show in a few months though
