Default Detail: Black C5

I headed to Dallas this past weekend and detailed a friend's C5 while I was there. It had some moderate swirling he wanted taken care of and requested that I "Zaino it." This car had more orange peel than any other GM vehicle I've done.

Process:

Wash with Zaino Z7
Clay
Poorboy's SSR 2.5 via light cutting pad and PC at 6
Menzerna PO106FF via polishing pad and PC at 5
Klasse AIO via polishing pad and PC at 5
Zaino Z5 x 2
Zaino Z8
Wolfgang tire gel on tires
Eagle One Wet in wells
Luster Pad to polish tips

Nice work as always ZaneO.

Are you using a different pad for the Klasse, 'zerna and Poorboys, or are you just rinsing one out and using it multiple times? Just curious

Does AIO remove any polish by chance? They say you can dilute it and wash a car and that it has some cleaning agents. It was something I was wondering for later when I detail my car, if I should use it after polish or skip it and just put on the Klasse sealant?

If the polish leaves fillers behind, then AIO will remove those fillers. If the polish is pure, AIO won't cause any problems.

Looks like you did the !gunmetal mod on those wheels.

Nice work, as always.

Oh, and there is a HUGE difference between the towels I've been using and the ones I received on Friday.

I ordered a "Full Package" Pak Shak set from Zane and the difference between the waffle weave drying towels and my existing towels is night and day. The Pak Shak towels are much softer to the touch. I didn't geta chance to wash the beast this weekend, but I'm looking forward to trying these new towels out.
