Default Do Not Use Black Magic Wheel Cleaner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least on polished rims. I sprayed in on last night and let it sit for maybe a min to turn around and get my brush, when I turned back around I had white streaks all down my wheel. Now, my wheel is half polished and half white. Guess, I'm painting them black this weekend.

I'd have pics, but my laptop is at a different location than I am and that's what has my camera software on it.

your not suppose to let it sit, your suppose to spray it on one of those moon shaped things or spray it on and wipe it all around the tire and then wipe the overspray off.

i had that happen to my old z28 polished rims...just take some mothers polish and go to town. that will fix your white streaks and freshly polished may look better than painting them black (depending on your theme)?

All them products are pretty much the same.
Its a %10 shine additive, and about 90% acid.
The prettier the car on the bottle, the more acid.

I buy the cheapest **** and mix it with a tiny bit of dishwashing fluid, and the grime literally streams off.
But my rims aren't polished, so I'm not guarenteing anything there.

Damn that sucks! I'd call them and see if they will buy you another set of wheels! (I know- fat chance, but can't hurt to ask)

try the blue coral wheel cleaner, i have those blacked out SS rims on my car and that stuff hasnt hurt the paint on them too much, they're a little dull but they look ok to me i get good results with the blue coral cleaner. a long time ago i used oven degreaser to clean the rims on my 86 i-roc, i sprayed one down and let it set for a minute, all the grease and dirt came right off of the rim, i was impressed for a second that this oven degreasr wa working, that quickly turned to anger when i saw what it as doing to the paint on the rim, needless to say it stripped the gold paint right off the rim

Meguiar's Hot Rims works really good, and I've yet to have a problem with any streaking.

just polish them with something like mothers billet and they will be fine. the wheel cleaner probably says not to use on polished wheels.

I use Meguiar's and it works great. I don't use all that other stuff, because I have had to many problems with them. Thats my .02.

Bottle says for all kinds of wheels. Then, on the back it specifically lists polished .

I never liked using spray wheel cleaners, never received good results. Soap and water always worked for me, and if its real bad then I will use diluted simple green.

soap water and maybe a used up piece of clay bar is good for cleaning rims...

as for fixing that damage, polish it up again, or repaint...
