I am kind of in need of some seats. My driver seat is basically falling apart and is ugly. I also hate the grey leather ...blah blah blah.

Anyways, i'm an 18 year old on a budget, I find these look pretty nice, and are cheap. They are 23" wide, so i'm wonder if this will fit in the t/a. What do you guys think, should i go for it?

I don't know if they would fit or not but they look cool and have a pretty good price.

$143 in shipping, Damn.
Shipping costs more than the seats.
That price also seems too cheap.

i have actually bought "racing" seats off of ebay, probably from the same people as the above mention seats... for the price they are fairly nice, the only thing i HATED was the backs/headrest of the seats were very thin, and kind of looked dumb from a side view... which is why i think they dont show a side view. other than that, the only other thing that royally sucked was the universal sliders, it was a PITA to get those damn things conformed to the car functionably.

if you would like, i could post some pics of them in my old 240sx, i have tons

Yeah post pics of them in your 240. If they are super thin from the side like you say, i'll probably pass...

i however found these, the sides dont seem to be thin, and they look a bit nicer.

well i thought i had some more from more of a side angle... but this is what i could dig up... you can kinda see the thickness of them. click on pics to see larger views.

if you look closely through the quarter glass you can kinda see the outline of the top of the seat... not sure if this one will help or not, but ill try.

Bit viper - thanks for the link, I am now considering those seats seriously, ecspecially since you can get a design embroided!

NBMgreg- the seats actually dont look bad, kinda just look generic racing seats. Nice 240 sx btw...

I'd just find a nicer OEM leather Trans Am seat for $200. It will last a lot longer than those cheap *** seats. I'll bet in a year or two they'll be faded and the seams will have split.

Or if you are REALLY on a budget but like the look of the Arizens...

www.shophyperformance.com/store/001302.html

$370 for the pair!!!

Crap load of color options and seats here:

www.shophyperformance.com/store/scan/fi=products/st=db/co=yes/sf=category/se=racing_seats/sf=prod_group/se=Seats/va=banner_image=/va=banner_text=Racing%20Seats.html

The Arizens have much more adjustablity though... I think they would be the best bang for the buck and driveability !

Yeah, I figured if you got the seats for under $380 you could afford to get something else embroidered there...

Unfortunately it had to wait, I am getting my front bumper re-painted right now.

I am finishing off the exterior this weekend (re-spray nose, Halos, black housing clear corners, ZL1 hood/ satin black scoop, body colored mirrors, ZR28 spoiler)...

Then I plan to finish off the interior next (Black leather Arizen seats, Ebony carpet, black leather door inserts possibly wrap console (at least lid) in black leather)...

Then it's all drivetrain power from there on out (the suspension and exhaust were the first things I completed)...
