Detailing clay works pretty well on water spots. Also, for the really crusted-on water spots, that have been there a LONG time, I use One Grand Special Touch. It's non-abrasive and it really does a good job on water spots...

I ordered mine on-line. Couldn't find it at any auto parts stores. I don't think any of our sponsors carry this product to here's where I ordered it...

They were running a special for free shipping at the time... not now of course... I think shipping is 6 bucks. Pretty good product for $16 shipped.

One Grand Special Touch...

P.S. ... It does seem to last forever. I've had my bottle for two years and it's still half full...

One thing you might want to try first... mix up a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and distilled water in a spray bottle. Then, (not in direct sunlight), spray the water-spotted areas with the mixture and wipe with a soft towel.

I've used this method (before I discovered Special Touch), and it does work, if you can stand the smell of the vinegar... You'll need to wax or seal after either method of spot removal...
