Question wings west question for TA

Hi,
I would like to install the front air dam on my ws6.
My question is, how much lower than stock will the new air dam be?
I do not mean the body piece, I am on about the under carrage air collecter.
I would like to know because there are some monsterous speed bumps here, and its already a close call.
Many thanks

Its not the speed bumps you have to worry about, its the concrete parking blocks that you need to worry about. Speed bumps are for jackass' like me who get the Spohn Tunnel Brace and have the car lowered and cant even go over a bigger speed bump w/o hitting the brace or not being able to go over it at all.

It's about 3 - 4" lower than the stock. Trust me you will notice the difference, especially if you are lowered.

I scrape alot with the air deflector whenever i go over speedbumps. Everyone who rides in my car throws a look of panic my way everytime this happens. I can't help but laugh because it is only my air deflector and not the front air dam itself. Just be cautious of where you are and you will be fine.

Cool

Thanks for the replys.
I really want this air dam, and can see the stock one has been in a scrape before .
But I dont think that is going to stop me installing WW, it just looks so damn Hard Core!
Formula-TA, Does your car run hot with stock air dam, as I have read this can be a problem?
I am not lowered, so I will try the WW air dam.
Cant wait to get this on!

sleeperfd, that is not the piece I am talking about, sorry, and good luck.
I am talking about the part on WW website( the red TA ).
So they have stopped production? I phoned a while back and they said they were relocating their factory.
There is a company over here (England), who said they import WW parts, but they are taking a long time to fill a container. WTF!?
Now I am worried.
Will let you all know the outcome on Tuesday.

that part is for the firebird...fits the formula's and that body style...it wont fit the Trans Am (well it says that on the website anyway, looks the same to me...but im not gonna spend $300 to find out that i should have listened to directions ) looks great no doubt...i LOVE that black formula...deffinately something to shoot for...super clean! they have one that fits the TA...its on the red ta on the site...that looks cool too

How does it attatch to the front, screws or double sided tape, I wouldn't mind getting one and putting it on just for shows (too many high curbs here to be on permanently)

It is attached by double-sided tape, and let me tell you the tape sucks. I used a few small screws to assure that it will be held in place. I have had no problems.

Yep, thats the one I am after.
I give up with this company, and will possibly buy that one off of ebay, think they look sick.
