Default What LT1 Style hood for spuds? New poll

Alright, decided to go with a ws6 lt1 style hood. Now i just need to know how big should I go? I know bigger is usually better, and I love the look for the Glasstek 4 inch ws6 hood, but what do you guys think?

This * my choice *

Bolt or pin on? Pin saves me mad cash lol

#2 looks better unless you get the motor to back the look of #1 up
As for pin or bolt on, go for the bolt on, it's a real PITA to have to lift your hood off every time you want to look at the engine (for whatever reason)
Not to mention it's awkward to lift the damn thing, and you end up with a f*cked up back from lifting your hood
For a street car get the bolt on that uses the hinges, leave the lift off/pin on ones to the purpose built race cars

how is the fit on ascd hoods compaired to glasstek? The ASCD is more of a direct clone, but I recall hearing bad things about ascd?

Price on the first two hoods is 525, that one is 690, a lil more.

Or should I bite the big one and get a slp for 820?

I'd go with an OEM style ws6 hood. The raised ones are too over the top IMO

They either pulled it off, or you have a new nosepiece.

Mines missing too.

OEM WS6 hood all the way...and I've never heard anything bad about ASCD or Rex, the owner from thirdgen or fourthgen guys.

Harwood makes a good hood. Bought one from summit racing and had it on my car for a while. Never a single prob, and not much work before paint.

see if you can find a used oem...

I got a brand new one, not even painted factory one off ebay for cheaper than any of those.
