Default sanding headlights

Never done this but heard it has been done. What no. of sandpaper do I use to sand my headlights? Want to start sanding them this week. Does anyone have instructions and materials needed to do this...apppreciate it

thot it was 1800 grit wetsanded to start off with?

Might want to try checking ebay first for a used headlight. My pass. side light was hazy and I bought a used OEM one in perfect condition for 40 bucks.

I tried it and if I wanted it perfect, I'd have to sand each light for 6 hours. I bought some replacement lenses off of ebay for $150, they've held up great for the first year, although the gap between the light and the bumper is larger than stock.
