Default HID 6500k H4 Hi/low kit installed in the bird (PICS)

Just installed my new HID kit and it came out great. Pictures don't do it justice. Glare is minimal and the color rendition on the road is outstanding. The hella free-form housings do a very good job of directing the light in a controlled manner, even with HID's thrown into them. While these obviously are not as good as a projector retrofit, I'm happy with the results.

Here are some pics.

I still need to do some more aiming to fine tune it so its as best as it can be. Again, some shots don't show the distance of light I am getting and color rendition. I know the higher up from 4100k~4300k the less lumen output, but I am very happy with how they light everything up. The color in person is a very light purple/white with a hint of blue. The kit was very well made on first impressions and the install went very smoothly except finding a suitable mounting location for the ballasts.

yea I will eventually work on the foglights because they look like garbage even with the silverstar lights in them compared to these HID's. I love the halo look that I have been seeing so I will prob go with that. For now, I may just try to match the color of the foglights with that of the headlights with some cheap halogens. The new fogs will use H3 lamps so I will pick up an H3 HID kit for them from the same manufacturer.

I would love to do something about the front corner lights, but I don't think there is much besides clear corners. Guess I have some more to think about lol.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Bought the housings from rallylights and the HID kit is from Kaixen on Ebay. I believe the person I bought it from was m_specs. A buddy of mine purchased his kit from him so thats who I went with. The guy has great email response and was very helpful.

Your foglights are indeed sick and I will be going with them sometime in the future. The possible final step to my modification may be going to projectors depending on the cost and product available. I'm very happy with how it performs and looks currently, but projectors are the best way to go (especially after seeing the projectors in my buddys 04 s2000 which are insane)

Let me know what you figure out.

Here are some updated pics of the setup including shots against the wall. Its no projector cutoff but I think its pretty damn good for a halogen housing.
