Default ws6 hood help?

well I just got me ws6 hood in from VFN and I put it on and the fitment isn't as good as everyone says. The right side corner at the windshield is about a 1/2 inch to short and the left side is about 1/2 inch too far and is bowed or raised too high I took the rubber stoppers off and it helped but still not great. Maybe its just because it is just because it isn't fitting right but it looks like the front needs to come up an inch maybe because between the headlights where the nostrils meet the front bumper there is a gap too. The bolts only allow me to move it a little. Any advice?

Yeah, installing a new hood isn't a simple bolt here and bolt there. The best thing to do is drill out the holes in the "arms" that hold on the hood. Once you get a decent sized hole, you'll have more room to move the hood around. It really requires at least two people to fully align it properly.

Hi. Sorry to hear that you are having a little difficulty installing your hood. Most fitment issues are taken care of with a few adjustments. We can help walk you thru this process if you can email or pm us with some pictures of the entire hood and some details of what problems you are having. Our email address is in my signature. We have a guy here who is extremely familiar with installing these hoods - he does all of our test fitments and does installs on local customers cars - and is very good with troubleshooting problem areas. Also, did you recieve instructions with your hood? If not, I can scan and email these over to you. We'll work with you to get the hood to fit, we just need to know that there is a problem.
Thanks.

I just got a WS6 hood from VFN. It took about 6 weeks to get made. The fit is ok, but it is not flawless and doesent look as good as a OEM hood. Along time was spend trying to get my hood lined up using the hinges, bumpers, lock etc. The edges of the hood behind the headlights sit a little to high for my likeing. When the car sits outside in the sun for a while I guess the fiberflass gets hot and the sides of the hood behind the headlights fold down (its weird) but it looks flawless when it does that.

can some on tell if that gap in the front looks to long to wallow the screw holes out and side it forward enough to fix it but not cause a gap at the windshield?

that actually doesnt looks too bad, a lot better than my ws6 hood is looking right now, on mine the drivers side is tilted up about a 1/4 of an inch, it needs to come forward about a 1/4 of an inch and while the hood is flush with the passenger side almost perfect, there is a gap between the hood and drivers side

99transamls1, who painted your hood because it looks kind of brownish-grey compared to the rest of your car?
